Settings → Vio gives every detector an on/off switch, a rank from 1 to 5 (who leads when several things happen at once), a level and its thresholds, with units. There is personality too: temperament (calm, normal or lively), size and resting colour. The warning colours stay fixed, so orange and red always mean the same thing.

A small glowing orb in the Exaplay header reads the playback engine's own measurements and warns operators before frames drop, video memory fills up or a drive runs out of space.
[City], [date] — VIOSO today introduced Vio, a stability agent built into the Exaplay 3 media server. Vio sits in the header of the Exaplay interface as a 40-pixel orb with a face. While a show runs, it watches the numbers the engine already measures: dropped frames, the frame rate against the display's real refresh rate, video memory, CPU load, free space on the working drive and the progress of content copies to every client machine.
When something is heading for trouble, Vio says so early, in one sentence and with the measured value, such as “VRAM full in about 12 min” or “Working drive nearly full: 6.0 GB free”. When there is no measurement, it says it is waiting for data rather than claiming that all is well. After a project opens, Vio runs Exaplay's project check in the background and lists missing media or broken routing before the doors open.
Crews decide how loud Vio gets. Each detector can log quietly, show an orange hint, or raise an urgent red question that stays visible even in show mode until someone acknowledges it. In show mode Vio otherwise holds back, so nothing distracts from a running cue. It is also designed to cost the show nothing: in VIOSO's measurements Vio uses about 0.35 ms per frame, polls the engine twice a minute, and stops its own animation when the machine is under load.
